The eight ugliest churches
We have reached the quarter-finals of the 2nd World Cup of Ugly Churches, and the results will be posted here as we have them.

Maria, Koenigin des Friedens, Velbert-Neviges, Germany
Newman Hall, Holy Spirit, Berkeley, USA v
Santa Maria Nuova, Terranuova Bracciolini, Italy
Rosa Aufblasbare Kirche, Vreden, Germany v
St Francis de Sales, Norton Shores, Michigan, USA
I really can't imagine anything uglier than these. None of them resembles in the slightest bit a place where the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass could or should take place. Embarrassing, and ugly (again).
ReplyDeleteThese 'buildings' show a whole new level of the word 'ugly'. I almost said, 'if only there was a contest...' but then I remembered, there is. I think my choice, from a great selection, is St. Konrad in Switzerland. But the competition is close! Lots of ugly here.
