ReplyDeleteMaybe you can add emperor St. Henry II to the list. Among other reproaches by his contemporaries, he has been accused by St. Bruno of Erfurt, martyr, of fighting a war in alliance with a pagan ruler against a Christian ruler and thus hindering evangelization.
